Cindy Trigg Has Been Taking SS "Disability" Benefits Since at Least 2005

Here’s how you can verify what I am saying here - all from the public records. Go to the NVSOS website, click on “Election Center”, under “Voter Information” click on “Contribution and Expense Report Search”. in “Search By” select “Candidate Name”, and put “Trigg” in the last space, click on Search, then select “Cynthia M. Trigg” and her reports come up.

The 2006 NVSOS report dated 12/19/05 shows Trigg’s income as “Social Security Disability” so we’ll go with 2005 as her first full year of taking SS Disability Payments. However, her 2004 NVSOS report shows her income of $85,000 as coming from Rental Income with no mention of SS Disability or American Airlines so who knows what she was doing then for a legitimate job.

With this information, I emailed Trigg three days ago to certify if she was, indeed, taking Social Security Disability benefits. After some time and some heehawing around, she replied:
“....thank you for bringing this to my attention, it should be that it is other household income. I will correct this with the Secretary of State.”
Right there she seems to be saying that she is not receiving Disability payments and will correct it.

I replied back to her

“Do as you wish, Cindy, but an "amended" document will only show up as an "Amended"; the original and the question of "SSID" will still be there forever.”

So, being finally cornered, then she changes her story to this:
I am currently receiving SSID and I am not now or have I ever committed fraud. I was awarded full disability benefits for life when I was medically FORCED out of my 27 year job as a flight attendant. I will not be eligible for retirement benefits until my 55 birthday when SSID will be reduced. Regardless of being awarded benefits for life I chose to take a job with the DNC because of my belief that I could help make a difference and I was fortunate that we could construct a job that allowed me to work from home when necessary and other adjustments. I REPORTED to the SSID that I was working, they stopped the benefits which was appropriate and when the job was ended because of funding by the DNC I was automatically put back on SSID. Very few people chose to go back to work after a judgement declaring them disabled for life however at the very least I have tried and continue to try.

So very clearly, Trigg is saying; 1) She is definitely getting SS Disability Benefits because she was awarded full disability benefits for life; 2) That while she is running for Congress, she is still taking SS Disability Benefits, a salary from the Douglas County School Board, and income from her rental properties once stated as $85,000, but 3) While working for the DNC last year she herself stopped the Disability Benefits.

#3 is something I have serious problems with since there is something called the “Trial Work Period Program whereby Social Security lets you keep you Disability payments while working. So we’ll probably never know the whole story if she was or wasn’t taking Disability money while working for the DNC and Jill Derby. And the part about the DNC job “that allowed me to work from home” is pure hogwash. The DNC job was about traveling to every Democratic enclave in Nevada in a very short period of time conducting “pizza parties” to get people to go to Harry Reid’s caucus. The night she came to Minden she started out (as I remember it) in Tonapah, came here, and finished up somewhere else. Oh yeah - Trigg was also running for office here in 2008 despite her disability and other committments to the DNC and her rental properties...

To recap here, Trigg was “medically FORCED” on Disability payments in 2005 because she was “awarded full disability benefits for life” - presuming here she was unable to do almost anything in the way of gainful employment. Then when the job for the DNC came along (courtesy of Jill Derby) she managed to magicly turn off her “full disability” and undertake a physically and mentally arduous job.

Then when that job was over, she could magicly turn her disability back “on” and go back managing their rental properties, being President of the School Board, and run for Congress all the while drawing Social Security Benefits that we taxpayers pay for.

I will let the readers be the jurors here on the matter of fraud.

One other little tidbit about Trigg which readers should know about. I think most of us would consider going on Social Security Disability a very real financial hardship. Yet, if you look in the FEC public records, Cynthia Trigg was able to contribute $4,300 to varying Democratic causes in 2006 and $2,518 in 2007. Some hardship....

There’s more - lots more to reveal about this Congressional candidate. I’m just hoping - as I have strongly suggested to her - she has the good sense to resign from the Douglas County School board and stop this farce of a campaign while she can still salvage something - anything of her face and reputation.

Right now I'm going to send this to Trigg and invite her to comment. Then I'm getting in the shower for along time.....

Love Poem to Olympia

From Bill in Portland Maine via KOS

Senator Snowe
I'll have you know
That there's a welcoming and warm place you can go

I know you're pissed
And you feel dissed
And Limbaugh says that if you leave you won’t be missed

It breaks my heart
('Cause I know you're smart)
That your party treats you like a stinky fart

Glenn Beck's a boor
Gingrich is sore
The GOP base thinks you're to the left of Gore

So ditch the brats
Those pesky gnats
Come leap across the aisle and join the Democrats

We're not big babies
We ain't got rabies
(Though we do suspect that Bayh might have the scabies)

Your party's sinking
Your polls are stinking
But our great big 'Welcome' sign is up and blinking

So take a chance
Let's make romance
(Every Tuesday we serve caviar from France!)

So please, Ms. Snowe
Give it a go
You'll be loved from Kennebunk to Orono

There'll be no snarlin'
We love ya, darlin'
And you can boogie once again with your pal Arlen

And a 'lil something for the RNC (Rush-Newt-Cheney) Party to ponder...

KNUCKLEDRAGGER OF THE DAY is awarded to the mouth that keeps on going and going and going - reaching the results noted above:
“Like a bad diet, liberalism will kill you. It’s a drug we don’t need to be hooked on.
Whatever, dude. If that's your story then stick to it....

In Reid v. Phantom Matchup - Reid Loses

In an absolutely stunning stinging poll yesterday by by the LVGJ, Boss Reid doesn't come out so well against Dean Heller (above) or the Phantom of the Desert yet to be named (below):
Definitely Vote Against 45%
Definitely Vote For 35%
That's a margin of 10% against an incumbent of 30 years!

Possible runs against Reid have included Dean Heller and a slew of "others" who don't even rate a mention here. Let me throw out another name to bandy about: Kenny Guinn. So what's so great about Guinn? In case you've forgotten, consider the following:
1. He absolutely refused to endorse Goober (very much a plus-plus call),
2. Won his last election in 2002 68%>22%,
3. Is still well-respected on both sides as a moderate,
4. Was named by Time in 2005 as one of the Best 5 Governors in the U.S.,
6. Left office with an approval rating of 66%, and
7. Is (chronologically at least) the same age as Reid who mentally is from the Triassic.
As far as I know, all he is doing these days is serving on the Board of Directors for MGM Mirage. The big ? about Gov. Guinn is if he could be coaxed out of a leisurely lifestyle to go to DeeCee. But I believe he could kick Reid's butt without even breaking a sweat.

I want to share this great insight (from a source I must keep anonymous at the present) about next week's big doings when Obama visits to raise even more money for Reid:

The president is coming to Las Vegas for an appearance with Grandpa Harry Reid, but he deliberately barred PAC money and the Reid people are angry about it because there's a ceiling on what individuals can give and the Coliseum only holds so many people. Ticket sales are only so-so as the local regular rank and file can't spare the cash, and the intended split between Reid and the state party looks like they will still have trouble paying the electric bill on south Valley View.

Don't bother paying folks, they will open the gates to all in time to make the at-home visuals look good on TV.

Sidebar: Remember when NVDEMS last hosted a failed event at Caesar's? That was when Bill Clinton came in and the stage was hogged by disgraced former Commissioner Yvonne Atkinson-Gates. Say, Mr US Attorney, what's the delay in her indictment dude?

I'm going to skip our KNUCKLEDRAGGER feature because the KNUCKLE BUMP OF THE DAY is somewhat long - but exceedingly excellent! It comes from Jack Cafferty of CNN:
George W. Bush and his accomplices damaged this country like it's never been damaged before. And it's not just the phony war in Iraq or the torture memos that justified waterboarding. It's millions of missing emails and the constant use of executive privilege and signing statements.

It's the secretive meetings with Enron and other energy executives and the wholesale firing of federal prosecutors. It's trying to get the president's personal attorney seated on the Supreme Court and that despicable Alberto Gonzales sitting in front of congressional investigators whining, "I don't remember, I don't know, I...etc."
Don't Miss

It's the domestic eavesdropping in violation of the FISA Court, the rendition prisons, and the lying. It's looking the other way while the City of New Orleans drowned and its people were left to fend for themselves.

It's the violations of the Geneva Conventions, the soiling of our international reputation and the shredding of the U.S. Constitution. It's the handing over of $700 billion to the Wall Street fat cats last fall, no questions asked. Where is that money? What was it used for?

It's the no-bid contracts to firms like Halliburton and Blackwater and the shoddy construction and lack of oversight of reconstruction in Iraq that cost American taxpayers untold billions.

If the Republicans were serious about restoring their reputation, they would join the call for a special prosecutor to be appointed so that at long last justice can be done.

It's too late for George W. Bush to resign the presidency. But it's not too late to put the people responsible for this national disgrace in prison

Is Cindy Trigg Defrauding the U.S. Government and CD2 Voters?

Another meta-META knucklebump to reader and commenter Rudolph for uncovering some significant public records documents from the NVSOS which Cindy Trigg herself filed.

The first is Financial Disclosure statement filed 1/14/09 [form revised 1/2008].

  • Of note here is that in Section A she declares her 'public office' income as $960.
  • In Section B, she includes the Democratic National Committee, which if you remember was a paid position to run all over the state registering voters for the Democratic Party as Chair of the Rural Nevada Demcratic Caucus - a very demanding position which caused the previous Chair (Carissa Snedeker) to resign in complete exhaustion.
  • It also shows Trigg derived income from "Real Estate" and lists 12 properties she and her husband managed "for profit" - or it wouldn't show up as income now would it?

The second public document is another Financial Disclosure statement filed 1/15/09 [form revised 10/24/2008]. which is the one we will use here.

  • Section A shows her 'public office' income revised to $4800.
  • Section B shows her other income as "SSID" which appears to be Social Security Disability Income.

So here comes the big question:

  • If Cindy Trigg was able to sit on the Douglas County School Board (which in itself is a very demanding position) ...
  • while simultaneously being paid by the DNC to crisscross this very large state registering voters...
  • while simultaneously managing 12 rental properties,...
  • exactly what is her "disability" which allows here to get a monthly check from the U.S. Government while holding down three demanding, paying, jobs at the same time?!?

Btw, Here is how Social Security figures out if a person is really disabled and qualifies for Social security Disability Income:

  • If you cannot do the work you did in the past, we see if you are able to adjust to other work. We consider your medical conditions and your age, education, past work experience and any transferable skills you may have.
  • If you cannot adjust to other work, your claim will be approved.
  • If you can adjust to other work, your claim will be denied.

I, for one, believe Cindy Trigg owes the voters of this state a complete explanation regarding her "SSID" on the Financial Disclosure Statement of 1/15/09. As noted on both of her Financial Disclosure Statements in the public record here email address is f4trigg@aol.com and her phone number is also there.

Stick a Fork in Goober - He's Done....

Goober's biggest fan and alleged news source has a new poll out and it doesn't look good for Goober the gubber. Even hometown Washoe County would like to see Goober get a new zip code. Nor (per the poll) does it look like Ichabod Crane Reid [pictured to help out his 'recognition' scores] will cruise to the gubber's mansion unless Daddy infuses millions from his was chest to 'lil Rory. Which - yikes! - leaves Nevada with another "Northern" candidate as the likely next occupant of the Carson mansion.

If someone just happens to bring up how good the Reagan years were, then just yank this out of your back pocket. What I best remember about those years was the stock market meltdown, bookoos of steel plants closing, Japan grabbing both the microchip and auto markets, and Reagan going immediately to Japan when he left the White Haus and collecting $5,000,000 for his work.

Yup - there could be something constructive happen because Pelosi can't pass up any opportunity to show how smart and full of leadership she is. If the truth be known - through a Truth Commission or whatever - it will most likely show Pelosi bucking her knees before the Oz behind the curtain, which in this case was Dickhead who continues to intimidate her.

So which will it be in 2012 - Cheney/Limbaugh or Limbaugh/Steele? Either way they go, the GobsOfPork party is officially trademarking "NO" as their very own logo. I'm not sure if GOPNO is going to take a hold, though, but who really cares?

If you missed it last week, "Senate Rejects Limit on Credit-Card Interest Rates" with Reid only producing 30 votes to support stopping predatory banking practices.

KNUCKLE BUMP OF THE DAY goes to none other than Pres O:
But one of the things I’ve actually been encouraged by—and I learned during the campaign—was the American people, I think, not only have a toleration but also a hunger for explanation and complexity, and a willingness to acknowledge hard problems. I think one of the biggest mistakes that is made in Washington is this notion you have to dumb things down for the public.
KNUCKLEDRAGGER OF THE DAY goes to Donald Rumsfeld and I'm not even going to repeat what happened under this Vlad the Impaler...

Zeke Asks..."Where Are All the CD2 Dems Hiding?"

Actually that was paraphrased for headline brevity. What my friend and respected peer asked the other day was Why do we keep running Democratic candidates from rural counties in this district? Which is a very astute and insightful question with only 536 days left until Election Day 2010. Yes, where are all the Dem business suits and civic leaders when it comes to doing something about Heller instead of just bitchin' and moanin'?

So I dug back ten years in the archives to find out who had been running in CD2 in the past. I was dumbfounded to find that all those business suits were AWOL when it comes to running for office in CD2.

  • In 2004, CD2 had a Dem candidate from Pahrump named Angie Cochran. Opensecrets.org shows she received $0 in support from the business suits.
  • In 2002, there was a computer technician from Reno named Travis O. Sousa who ran for CD2 and got 19.8%.
  • In 2000, a quite brave elementary school teacher named Tierney Cahill took on Gibbons and actually got 30%of the vote.
  • In 1998 - there was not a Democratic candidate for CD2.

So, Zeke, my friend, there has never been a Reno or Carson City business suit with the guts to step forward and run for CD2. Which might help explain why Goober made it so long as CD2's Congresscritter and why we now have him as Gubber. It wasn't his sterling qualities which got him elected and re-elected and re-elected. It was complacency on the part of Northern Nevada Dems in business suits which gave him a Free Pass to Go.

Concerning the importance of the rural vote, I'll refer readers to a quite insightful 2006 analysis by Bill Roberts of Tonapah on the subject excerpting only a few lines which seem to say it all:
Rural Republicans will take their mandate to vote seriously and will turn out in much larger numbers than their city-dwelling counterparts of either party. And when they do, they probably will hold the line for their known quantity (Gibbons) rather than take a chance on someone else.

Rural voters will wait to see if the Democratic nominee spends five minutes in time or $5 in advertising in rural Nevada or if he or she gives away most of the 100,000 votes to Gibbons to concentrate on the 900,000 in Clark and Washoe counties. What the Democratic contender does may well depend on an assumption that the rurals belong to Gibbons. In fact, they may be his to lose.
The bottom line is that in the past the Reno and Carson City Dems have been totally complacent and disinterested in fielding a candidate for CD2. Yes, the Dem registration ratios are higher than at any other time in the past; and, yes, Heller is a sitting duck for an articulate Dem to knock off. But - per the history of Northern Nevada Dems - you're not likely to see an electable candidate for CD2 come from the urban areas.

Two More Trigg Defaults Discovered

Will it ever end?.... A meta KNUCKLE BUMP to reader and commenter Rudolph for discovering yet another Trigg default - this one for $187,920 at 220 John Eugene Court almost on the UNR Campus in downtown Reno. This one also comes with a TAX LIEN from the homeowner's association to the tune of $883.25.

Before I go to the next and fourth default as noted in the public records, let me tell you how you, too, can play "Vet the Congressional Candidate" right there in you own home. And you can also check and verify what is being printed here. All these "events" are part of the public record at any County Recorder's website. In this case (Washoe County) go to this link for an easy registration which will get you access to all the records. To find this and the next Trigg default once you are signed in, type in Trigg, William in the lower right hand box "Both Names" and up pops the whole sordid history. You can even look for Dean Heller there (but you won't find anything on him).

Moving right along....there's another Trigg Default to IndyMac for $199,900 on property located at 200 John Eugene Court dated 3/12/2009 - almost the very same date Cindy Trigg announced her "amazing campaign" for the U.S. House of Representatives.

Using this newly found source of information I looked around at other counties (I have already covered Douglas County) and found a TAX LIEN in El Dorado County filed 11/20/2008 (# 2008-0055782) What's interesting about this one is the joint owner's name is a "Cynthia M. Johnson"....

One other minor detail and I'll close for the day on this matter. If you look closely at the history of the documents in the Washoe County website, you will find Candidate Cindy Trigg intricately involved in just about every real estate transaction that William was in. So it's not like William was doing all this stuff on his own. Likewise, it seems impossible to believe that Cindy Trigg knows nothing about these matters which all told is approaching the $1,000,000 mark on defaults.

Quod erat demonstratum.

"...Free Ride For Dean Heller..."

One could just about swap "Dean Heller" for "Harry Reid" in a Politico.com headline today: "Dearth of challengers could mean a free ride for Harry Reid" Let's see how the opening paragraph of Politico's article would read if one applied this juxtaposition

While few Republicans Democrats will say so publicly, it’s increasingly looking like Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) Dean Heller (R-CD2 NV) is going to get a pass for reelection in 2010.

Yup - that pretty well says it unless the NevaDUH Dummocrats get off their cowardly, complacent asses and find an electable candidate to run in 2010. There's only one big problem: NevaDUH Dummocrats are restricted by their quite arcane ByLaws from supporting any candidates which explains the reason why the last two elections were done by the Burger-King method of "first come - first served" at the slop trough of selecting a Congressional candidate which occurs in just 538 days.

Yup - there's no convention, no 'select commission' set up to review, VET for possible flaws, and draft an electable Congressional candidate in CD2 (or any other office for that matter). As has happened in 2006, 2008, and now - all a person has to do is step forward and claim the right to the prize. And - as happened in 2006, 2008, and probably now - Northern Nevada and Rural Dems will end up again getting creamed at the polls because of its Burger-King methods of selection for a person to run for no less than the U.S. House of Representatives.

Sure - NevaDUH's so-called "progressive" blogs and Vegasites and Renoans bitch and moan every time Heller drops another turd in the punch bowl - but when it comes to actually producing a viable, electable candidate to run against Heller, it's back to the end of the Burger-King line and "candidates" of this quality [sic].

Which, btw, reminds me; there used to be something of a State Party outreach effort to the rurals called the "Rural Nevada Democratic Caucus". And guess who - as Jill Derby's selection was the last person to head this worthy caucus which appears to have been scuttled by those running things in Vegas? Yup - if you guess Cindy Trigg you guessed right. Maybe someone out there can tell me why the Rural Caucus was cancelled.... Did it go the way of the Democratic Vets Caucus and the Democratic Hispanic Caucus?

Whichever one of these "candidates" eventually go on to DeeCee - and right now it's 99% sure it will be Heller if he doesn't run against St. Reid - Dems are screwed and they did it to themselves yet again.

Finally Some Good News...

We'll start of this morning with a Mega Knuckle Bump to some wonderful doctors et. al from Reno:
Last week, Dwight Preader struggled while watching TV, taking the bus and reading his medication bottles. This week, Preader, 56, can see. Preader was one of 11 patients who received the free surgery Friday at the Eye Surgery Center of Northern Nevada, 5420 Kietzke Lane.

Dr. David Chaffin and Dr. Steve Chang and the staff at Nevada Eye Consultants and the Eye Surgery Center of Northern Nevada donated their time.
I can certainly empathize with Mr. Preader having gone through about 20 eye surgeries myself.

In other good news, "Education stimulus funds for Nevada released" Now it's just a question of how soon or how well Goober et. al can screw this up....

Pelosi's excuse du jour for keeping quiet after being briefed on torture: "My dog ate the report, I had laryingitus, and my arm was in a sling." It seems this torture thing isn't going away for Pelosi or Reid so why can't Congress get started developing some guidelines which can help replace their conscience?

KNUCKLE BUMP OF THE DAY DEUX goes to the ever clever Gene Washington (no wonder he won a Pulitzer Prize!):
For the final act of his too-long public career, Cheney seems to have decided to become an Old Faithful of self-serving nonsense. His latest in a series of eruptions came Sunday on "Face the Nation," when he continued to press his revisionist case for torture -- and, for good measure, counseled his beloved Republican Party to marginalize itself even further from public opinion and common sense.
KNUCKLEDRAGGER(S) OF THE DAY go to whoever the news programmers are on CNN and MSNBC that wasted way too much air time this morning with the total waste of skin, Donald Trump, and Miss Topless-Store-Bought-Boobs-and-I-Hate-Gays rambling on and on while the nation's teevees were all on mute. WHO CARES WHAT YOU THINK!

What War on Drugs?

The numbers are out again on Afghanistan's opium production and, again, it is producing 90% of the world's opium. Which then goes to fund the Taliban there and wordldwide as well as undermine what little there is there in the form of a legitimate government. Two items in this sordid story of the U.S. presence there stand out:

  1. An estimated 450 of America's finest have lost their lives there - directly funded by the illegal opium trade, and
  2. Not a single drug related arrest has been made there since 2006.

No surprise there, though. The complete abandonment of the "war on drugs" has also financed other armies, navies, and air forces which still undermine the security of our country and its youth. However, all is not lost. There are at least a dozen Nevadans trying to change things....

In other statewide news, that choo-choo from Dizzyland to Dizzyland II (Las Vegas) may begin in either Seattle or San Diego.

And why is it that NevaDUH mining income drops 21% but taxes drop 50%?

If yesterday was Sunday then Dickhead was out campaigning for his Nobel Peace Prize. And who said you can't measure the speed of dark?

While we're on dickheads and darkness, see if you can make any sense out of Reid's ramblings on the subject. Which earns Reid our KNUCKLEDRAGGER OF THE DAY AWARD for complete spinelessness on whether torture is legal or illegal:
There are a lot of decisions that are made that are right that may not be absolutely totally within the framework of law. For example with President Nixon . . . I mean . . . should he have been impeached or did President Ford do the right thing?

The Mother of All Coverups is About to Explode

Ever since he took office, it appears Pres O has not wanted to dirty his hands with the "torture" problem hangover from the 43 days. There has been this reason and that meted out to the MSM - none of which has satisfied the collective American conscience on facing and dealing with what could easily be described as "America's Darkest Moment".

Only now is the curtain being drawn back and it looks like Dems at the highest level were complicit with 43 in allowing torture. Yes, even St. Reid was fully informed (cf. page 4; 9/6/06)
"The Director provided 'significant details naming all EITs [Enhanced Invterrogation Techniques] and providing a verbal description of most EITs'. There was also a specific discussion of waterboarding."
The Most Damaged Credibility Award seems to go to Nancy Pelosi who has stated "she had never been briefed about the use of waterboarding, only that it had been approved by Bush administration lawyers as a legal technique to use in interrogations". Yet there Pelosi is in the released CIA document (Page 1, Very Top) on 9/4/02
"Briefing on EITs including use of EITs on Abu Zuhbaydah background on authorities, and a description of the particular EITs that had been employed."
Which brings to mind the definition of
COMPLICIT:
An individual is complicit in a crime if he is aware of its occurrence, has the ability to report the crime, but fails to do so. As such the individual effectively allows criminals to carry out a crime despite easily being able to stop them, either directly or by contacting the authorities, thus making him a de-facto accessory to the crime rather than an innocent bystander.
Which brings us right back to Pres O and the quandry posed here:
Does the United States - forever and ever - condone the use of torture through its own use and lack of prosecution of the crime regardless of position or stature relegating it to Medevial standards of moral conduct? Or does the United States clean up its record regardless where the prosecution chips fall?
My innate cynicism says this will be swept away and the subject changed as fast as possible and Pres O will be a one-termer for doing so.

Now Trigg is Delinquent in Property Taxes!~!

The "William Trigg" default on a $436,000 mortgage which was reported last week got it's third and final notice this week in the Record Courier (May 6, 2009; Page A-34) so it looks like that property foreclosure is a done deal.

But there's more going on as published on Page A-29 where "William Trigg" is now quite delinquent on taxes on the default property and another property which the taxes haven't been paid on for over a year now. Btw, neither of these are the cozy couple's principal love nest real estate dynasty.

Yes, as promised by Cindy Trigg at the outset of this farce, this is indeed an "amazing campaign", one like I have never seen before. Although it's probably time to stick a fork in this embarassment since contributions have all but stopped, here's where to send your nickels and dimes to the tax relief fund for the Triggs to catch up on their bills.

Exploding Heads Could Go Up In One Big Bang

If there's one sure way to test the Big Bang theory, it is this: Obama to nominate the first gay person to the Supreme Court. I'm almost falling off my chair LOL over just the thought of it!

Harry Reid invented spray on cheese... I didn't know that.

So...guess which party comes out first against closing all those offshore accounts Prez O wants to close:
Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus, a Montana Democrat, called for "further study" of Obama's proposals within minutes of the president's announcement yesterday. Representative Joseph Crowley, a Democrat on the tax-writing House Ways and Means Committee, said he's wary because the tax changes would hurt Citigroup Inc., his New York district's largest private-sector employer.

Natalie Ravitz, a spokeswoman for Senator Barbara Boxer, a California Democrat, said that any tax overhaul should not lead to "unintended consequences."
"Onward Christian Soldiers..." - you know the tune; and the results this will get us. But remember -
“Do we know what it means to proselytise?” Captain Emmit Furner, a military chaplain, says to the gathering.

“It is General Order Number One,” an unidentified soldier replies.

But [Sergeant Jon] Watt says “you can’t proselytise but you can give gifts“.
Hmmm...I guess that lieing is no longer a sin.....

KNUCKLE BUMP OF THE DAY goes to James Carville for remarking on how it doesn't get any better than this:
Christian conservatives still are defining the GOP. Citing data from pollster Alan Abramowitz of Emory University showing that Republican identification among conservative married white Christians increased from 64 percent to 90 percent during the past 30 years, Carville concludes that "there's nowhere to go from 90 percent, and Republicans aren't winning moderate and liberal Christians."
KNUCKLEGRAGGER FOREVER is enough to make even Repugs puke in their Wheaties:
I personally still think it’s wrong. People don’t understand the dictionary—it’s called queer. Queer means strange and unusual. It’s not like a slur, like you would call a white person a honky or something like that. You know, God is pretty explicit in what we’re supposed to do—what man and woman are for.
I don't suppose this jerkoff has ever looked up the meaning of "sick"
affected by an impairment of normal physical or mental function;

Benchwarmer Swaps Seats.....zzzzzzz

It seems like just last week....the Dems were simply gaagaa over Sen. Specter swapping benches he warms. Sooo...all the MSM ruxhed out to give him his 15 minutes where he explains "I'm really no Democrat; I just pulled this prank to get re-elected". To show he is really a Repugocrat Party of one, Specter goes on record as still opposed to healthcare, same as always.....

Hmmm....It looks like a lot of people are going to moving funds from off shore back to the Mattress Bank.

KNUCKLE BUMP OF THE DAY goes to (gasp! gasp!) Baloneymonger and GOP Chair Michael Steele for finally stating the obvious:
"The problem isn't that Americans are less conservative," he said. "It's that our credibility with them is shot. It's that we left them along the side of the road on our way to drinking that Potomac River water, getting high on power and influence and forgetting how we got where we are."
While we're on Specter, let's go ahead and give him the KNUCKLEDRAGGER OF THE DAY for this totally wierd idea:
Specter said issues like Republican attitudes towards cancer research had made him unhappy with the party. Specter went on to suggest that if Republicans had been more aggressive about cancer research, GOP luminary Jack Kemp would be alive today.
Yes, Arlen, we should accelerate cancer research to help save Repugocrat's lives.... And to think, I once respected this man.
